As a THEATRE DIRECTOR

I'm interested in plays that are intellectually challenging, vivid, theatrical and emotionally truthful. I'm intrigued by plays with heightened style and exhilarating language, whether new or classic.  Theatricality is key - if a play can easily be a film, why put it on stage? My theatre is about collaboration, risk taking and connection. It is about transformation, on stage and off. The goal is to wake up the audience, take them on an extravagant ride and leave them crying, laughing or arguing -- and hopefully, contemplating their lives over coffee in the morning.

Theatre is the ultimate art of collaboration.  Profound thanks to the many talented playwrights, actors, designers, stage managers, producers, mentors, angels & supporters that have made these and my other works possible.

To Kelleigh's website & her music

Friend Kelleigh's new CD "Chances" is my favorite.  I'm obsessed...

"Recently emerging from the Hudson Valley music scene as a performing songwriter to watch, Kelleigh McKenzie offers a bewitching blend of earthy old-time, modern folk, wicked grooves & deep soulful foot-stomp blues. With a clarion voice, irreverent banjo and distinctive finger-style guitar, she delivers smart songs with lyrics that veer from a graceful social consciousness to lusty
romps & sinister seductions.

"Chances," McKenzie's stunning debut, is now available at CDBaby and iTunes & is set for wider release this fall."

She'll be playing in NYC  again soon.
Keep an eye out.
